NATURE AND SCOPE: Under the leadership of the Senior VP Accreditation Strategy & Partnerships, the Director serves as an expert in Non-Public Services. This role will lead organization-wide oversight and administration of Non-Public Services aligned with strategic priorities to develop centralized, systemic, and formalized processes and supports to non-public institutions. In collaboration and coordination with both internal and external stakeholders, the Director leads the support, planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of Non-Public products and services to expand the integration of those products and services and to grow the Cognia network. The Director provides thought leadership and utilizes current knowledge and expertise of non-public education industries to enhance Cognia's impact on non-public education providers and continuous improvement. PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES:
- Supports the vision, mission, and values of Cognia to ensure Cognia remains the respected authority on accreditation and continuous school improvement for non-public education providers.
- Supports the execution of the strategic vision and goals of the office.
- Collaborates in the development of strategies and initiatives to expand partnerships and increase membership in the non-public sector.
- Assists in establishing and maintaining relationships with high-profile non-public clients.
- Manages the Synchronized Accreditation Program .
- Conducts research and analysis to identify market trends, needs, and opportunities in the non-public education sector.
- Maintains knowledge of current non-public education program regulations, requirements, best practices, and future trends in order to effectively support and inform Cognia services and solutions.
- Develops training and other intellectual properties associated with non-public accreditation and continuous improvement.
- Utilizes data to support, implement, and monitor the performance and impact of the office.
- Provides regular reports and recommendations for improvement, assisting with the preparation of documents and/or information for the division.
- Conducts presentations and attends meetings, conferences, and events in support of the office's strategic goals.
- Plans for the annual Non-Public Schools Leadership Conference in collaboration with the SVP
- Fosters positive and collaborative working relationships within the
- Accreditation and Certification Division and across the organization to accomplish organization-wide goals.
- Supports regional staff in their interactions with non-public schools, providing guidance and expertise on the non-public education context.
- Collaborates with regional staff to conduct outreach and engagement activities, foster connections, and share relevant Cognia resources with non-public schools.
- Serves as a liaison between regional staff and contacts in the non-public education space and supports opportunities for collaboration and partnership between non-public schools and other institutions in their regions.
- Communicates with stakeholders to problem-solve, promote continuous improvement, and offer data-based solutions, products, and services.
- Works independently with minimal supervision and oversight to produce high-quality products and services.
- Performs duties and fulfills responsibilities that may, from time to time, include related or unrelated tasks.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education & Experience:
- Master's degree in education and/or business development required
- 5 years of related experience required; experience to include extensive knowledge of strategic planning for non-public schools and school systems where alignment to a set of quality assurance standards is the desired outcome
- Experience leading teams of people as a non-public school leader, corporate project manager, or immediate supervisor or director required

- Ability to work and communicate effectively using all Microsoft applications and other web-based presentation applications

- Ability to effectively train, motivate, supervise, and evaluate personnel
