Do you enjoy working outdoors, supporting a team, and taking pride in creating beautiful, well-maintained landscapes? We're looking for a dependable and motivated commercial Landscaping Supervisor to join our team! In this role, you'll partner with the Landscaping Project Manager to help keep daily operations running smoothly, support the crew in the field, and contribute to the overall success and upkeep of the grounds throughout the military installation.
- Assist the Landscaping Project Manager with daily crew coordination and work assignments.
- Provide guidance and support to crew members in the field.
- Help ensure landscaping work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.
- Assist with training employees on equipment use, safety procedures, and best practices.
- Monitor equipment, vehicles, tools, and materials; report maintenance or supply needs.
- Conduct routine site inspections to maintain quality and identify areas for improvement.
- Serve as one of the primary points of contact for crews when the Project Manager is unavailable.
- Communicate job progress, concerns, and operational needs to management.
- Perform landscaping and grounds maintenance duties alongside the crew as needed.
What You'll Need to Be Successful:
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of landscaping experience.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in a landscaping lead or assistant supervisory role.
- Experience operating landscaping equipment and machinery.
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance and groundskeeping practices.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, hazard recognition, and safe work practices.
- Knowledge of workplace safety practices and ability to enforce safety standards.
- Valid driver's license.
- Valid Real ID
- Must be able to obtain and maintain government base access.
Bonus If You Have These Skills:
- Experience working on government or military installations.
- Horticulture, pesticide, or industry-related certifications.
- Irrigation troubleshooting and repair experience.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Ability to identify and resolve issues in the field.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

- Standing and Movement: Frequently stand, walk, and move across large outdoor areas for extended periods of time during the workday.

- Outdoor Work Environment: Work is performed primarily outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, humidity, and direct sunlight.
- Temperature Exposure: Regular exposure to extreme temperatures depending on seasonal conditions.
- Noise Levels: Frequent exposure to moderate to high noise levels from power tools and landscaping equipment; hearing protection may be required.
- Airborne Particles: Exposure to dust, dirt, grass clippings, pollen, and other outdoor elements.
- Equipment Use: Operation of motorized landscaping equipment and tools, requiring adherence to safety protocols at all times.
- Terrain: Work on uneven, sloped, or rough ground surfaces, including grass, soil, gravel, and paved areas.
- PPE Requirements: Use of personal protective equipment such as gloves, safety glasses, ear protection, steel-toe boots, and high-visibility clothing as required.
- Safety Risks: Potential exposure to hazards such as sharp tools, moving equipment, insects, and environmental conditions; strict adherence to safety procedures is required.
