Job Summary
Supervise and coordinate all administrative services within a small to moderate size campus unit or a part of the services function within a larger unit. Areas of responsibility can include administrative affairs associated with human resources, purchasing, budgets and financial records and general clerical support within the unit. This position reports to the Director of Business Operations and is responsible for transactional HR administration for both staff and faculty positions as well as other administrative operations across OUESS and its reporting units. The role is housed within a centralized administrative model and ensures consistency, accuracy, and operational efficiency within all aspects of talent acquisition and onboarding for the division. Primary responsibilities include HR processes and transactions (with a strong emphasis on accuracy, compliance, and timeliness); administrative policies and procedures as they related to talent acquisition, interviewing, and onboarding staff and faculty; and day-to-day operational support. The position works closely with the Office of the Provost HR team as well as the Office of Faculty Affairs on transactional HR and faculty affairs matters. This position also works closely with the Office of the Provost Finance team to communicate budgetary alignment with staffing decisions. The role may serve on OUESS administrative committees and may provide direct and/or indirect supervision of administrative staff within a centralized reporting structure. The position represents the Director of Business Operations in meetings and on committees as needed. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to accuracy and process development. They bring excellent organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage complex, high-volume work in a dynamic environment.
