| Position Summary |
This position as a Team Lead Housekeeper will have responsibility for helping coordinate the work of other Housekeepers within Residence Halls and designated Student Life facilities on campus. This position will be required to apply knowledge of cleaning techniques, the ability to interpret and follow direction as well as provide direction. This position is responsible for applying time management skills to ensure that daily work and projects are completed in a timely manner to contribute to a positive Campus Experience for all students. This position has responsibility for ensuring operational and safety procedures are followed and assessing non-routine matters and sending to higher levels of management when appropriate.
The purpose of all Housekeeping positions in Housing and Student Life Operations is to provide safe, clean, and comfortable living and learning environments in the residence halls and student life facilities of the University of North Carolina Asheville community. This position is highly visible throughout the department and the University. This position interacts on a frequent basis with students, staff, faculty, and visitors. This position is responsible for general housekeeping in residence halls and student life areas of the University. Position also assists in maintenance, floor care, furniture setups, and other responsibilities to a lesser degree. All Housing and Student Life Operations employees are expected to serve as positive representatives of the department and the University.

- Knowledge of housekeeping in residential or educational setting.
- Knowledge of all aspects of housekeeping and some knowledge of basic maintenance skills, changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, etc.
- Ability to lead and manage a team.

| Work Schedule and Hours |
Primary schedule of this position is 7:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday. Due to nature of position and departmental needs there will be occasional work hours on weekends and after hours scheduled in advance. |
