Description

The Dredge Operator operates a dredge machine that extracts aggregate resources from a mining pit or river either pneumatically or through suction cutting. The operator sits in a control room and oversees the dredge operations while monitoring the extraction location, product flow, meters and gages to determine if adjustments are necessary and other duties to ensure the continuous and safe operation of the equipment to meet production goals and objectives.

Responsibilities Include:



  • Operate dredge, participate in preventative maintenance, repair and labor, including clean-up duties, oiling, lubrication, and miscellaneous repairs.
  • Assure all safety policies and procedures are followed to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes and behaviors observed.
  • Operate forklift, bobcat, front loader, and manlift (in a safe and efficient manner) as required on company property only.
  • Other duties assigned as needed.



Minimum Qualifications:



  • Basic equipment operating abilities and mechanical knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, lift, push, pull, and be on your feet for long periods of time, in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check, physical/functional exam and drug screen.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts which include nights, some days weekends and overtime.
  • Display a professional and courteous attitude towards all team members and customers.
