Liquidity Execution Vice President

The Core Engineering builds and operates the platforms, applications, data solutions, models, and analytics that power critical processes for the firm's Risk, Controllers, Compliance, Corporate Treasury, Human Capital Management functions (The Core). A centralized engineering structure in support of The Core enables a common platform model and operating framework that promotes consistent governance and scalable solutions, leveraging cloud, AI, and machine learning for innovation and efficiency.

Metrics & Analytics Platforms, within The Core Engineering, is responsible for the measurement and management of the firm's risk, capital, and liquidity for The Core functions. Within Metrics & Analytics Platforms unit, Liquidity and Trading Platforms team provide critical business services for Corporate Treasury across trading and liquidity execution to support the daily management of global cash and liquidity across all businesses.

Job Description

Liquidity Execution Engineering team is looking for world class software engineers to work closely with Corporate Treasury business partners and help transform liquidity projections/optimizations within the cash and collateral management services.

This is a one of a kind front to back integrated group that explores new ideas of optimizing firm liquidity position and also execute on the strategy, through a real-time event-based architecture. This architecture is integrated real-time to GS trade lifecycle flows and settlement execution systems to provide real-time transparency on liquidity demands and offers active management of the Firms Liquidity metrics through sophisticated quantitative approaches.

The role will be responsible for leading the next generation of the architecture with an AI and cloud first mindset. Given the business criticality of the services, resiliency and scalability are key aspects of the transformation to ensure the new architecture meets the forward business growth of GS. The role is based in one of our key centers-of-excellence in Bengaluru where there is a large proportion of global engineers, co-located with business users, leadership and quantitative engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership to regional and global engineers in liquidity execution.
  • Partner with quantitative engineers, technical leadership across engineering and product leads to define and implement next-generation architecture
  • A hands on role, to develop credibility and trust across engineering team and able to de-block complex uplift and ongoing issues in the platform.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7 - 10 years of development experience in enterprise level systems, preferably business critical
  • Experience in technical leadership across global development teams, including scalable SDLC practices
  • Experience in cloud architectural design, preferably AWS and multi-region availability
  • Experience defining and delivering AI-enabled products, platforms, or automated solutions
  • Experience leading large-scale platform modernization, transformation, or strategic change initiatives across multiple teams and business functions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in finance, liquidity and payments/settlement execution areas
