The Supply Chain & Procurement Manager is responsible for leading end-to-end supply chain operations, including strategic sourcing, procurement, production planning, inventory management, warehousing, and logistics. This role ensures the efficient flow of materials from suppliers through manufacturing to customer delivery while driving supplier performance, cost optimization, inventory accuracy, and operational excellence.


The ideal candidate brings a strong background in manufacturing supply chain management, strategic sourcing, procurement, production planning, and logistics. They possess proven experience managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, optimizing inventory, and leading cross-functional teams to improve service levels, reduce costs, and support organizational growth.

Responsibilities:




  • Purchasing & Strategic Sourcing

    • Manage procurement of raw materials, components, and supplies.
    • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure cost competitiveness, quality, and reliability.
    • Develop and execute sourcing strategies to achieve cost savings, mitigate supply risk, and diversify the supplier base.
    • Lead RFP/RFQ processes, supplier evaluations, and selection activities.
    • Negotiate pricing, terms, contracts, and service-level agreements with suppliers.
    • Maintain strong vendor relationships and ensure effective contract management.
    • Monitor supplier performance and resolve delivery, quality, and service issues.
    • Analyze spend data and identify cost reduction and value improvement opportunities.
    • Manage supplier risk, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Establish, maintain, and optimize approved supplier programs.
    • Drive strategic sourcing initiatives aligned with company objectives and operational requirements.
    • Monitor commodity markets, industry trends, and material cost fluctuations to support procurement decisions.




  • Production Planning:

    • Ensure alignment with the Global Planning strategy and ensure proper execution of the plan.
    • Develop and manage production schedules based on demand forecasts, customer orders, and inventory levels.
    • Coordinate with manufacturing, engineering, and sales teams to ensure materials availability for production.
    • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to address supply constraints or changes in demand.
    • Optimize inventory levels to support production while minimizing excess stock.
    • Support IBP/S&OP process Step 3 Supply reviews.
    • Monitor forecast and adjust plans as needed to meet business goals.




  • Receiving & Inventory Control:

    • Oversee receiving operations to ensure accurate and timely processing of incoming materials.
    • Implement and maintain inventory control processes, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy initiatives.
    • Ensure proper storage, handling, and tracking of materials within the facility.
    • Utilize ERP/MRP systems to manage inventory and materials requirements.




  • Shipping & Logistics:

    • Manage shipping operations to ensure timely and accurate delivery of finished goods.
    • Coordinate freight carriers and logistics providers to optimize cost and service levels.
    • Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and documentation requirements.




  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

    • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to Materials management such as On Time and In Full order performance.
    • Prepare and present reports to management on materials management performance and improvement initiatives.
    • Serve as the voice of the Materials Management process in audit/compliance discussions




  • Leadership & Process Improvement:

    • Lead and develop the materials, warehouse, and logistics teams.
    • Implement best practices in materials planning, inventory management, and supply chain operations.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve service levels, reduce costs, and increase efficiency.
    • Develop KPIs and metrics related to inventory turns, on-time delivery, and supplier performance.




  • System and Tool Management:

    • Oversee the use of planning software and tools ensuring they are effectively utilized across all regions.
    • Collaborate with IT and other stakeholders to enhance system capabilities and address technical issues.




Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in materials management, supply chain, or operations.
  • Strong background in production planning, purchasing, inventory management, receiving, and shipping.
  • Experience in manufacturing environments required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in supply planning and forecasting tools (e.g., Kinaxis, SAP IBP), and experience with data analytics tools (e.g., AX, Shareville, Smartsheet). Advanced Excel skills are essential.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
  • Leadership and Development: Proven experience in developing and guiding teams, particularly in manufacturing environment. Ability to work cross-functionally with production, sales, and finance teams.
  • Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Strong communication and decision-making abilities.
