Job Summary:
The Parts Runner/Operations Support position is responsible for the timely transportation, staging, and movement of materials, equipment, and supplies to support company operations. This role serves as a critical link between vendors, warehouse operations, technicians, and branch locations by ensuring materials are delivered accurately and efficiently.

This position also provides light warehouse and operational support during periods when delivery activity is reduced.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Parts Delivery & Transportation:
  • Deliver parts, tools, materials, and equipment to technicians, jobsites, branch locations, and storage facilities.
  • Pick up parts, materials, and equipment from vendors and suppliers.
  • Perform scheduled runs to branch storage locations and remote facilities.
  • Transport returns, warranty items, empty cylinders, paperwork, and other operational materials.
  • Maintain delivery schedules while prioritizing urgent operational needs.

Warehouse Support:
  • Pull parts and materials for technicians and operational departments.
  • Stage materials in designated locations for pickup or delivery.
  • Assist with receiving deliveries and verifying shipment accuracy.
  • Stock and organize warehouse inventory and storage areas.

Inventory & Operations Support:
  • Perform periodic inventory counts and audits as assigned.
  • Monitor stock levels at branch and remote storage locations.
  • Assist with annual physical inventories.
  • Process shipping and receiving activities including UPS, FedEx, Spee-Dee, and other carriers.
  • Complete required documentation and maintain accurate records of deliveries and transfers.

General Support:
  • Deliver company mail, documents, and operational materials.
  • Assist departments with miscellaneous operational support tasks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), safe work practices, and prompt reporting of hazards, incidents, and unsafe conditions to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others. Minimum Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
  • Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate within 30 days of employment.
  • Ability to safely operate company vehicles.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Basic computer and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous warehouse, delivery, parts, or logistics experience.
  • Experience in HVAC, refrigeration, construction, or industrial supply environments.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Experience with inventory management systems.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to carry and lift heavy equipment (up to 100 pounds)
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and reaching required
  • Ability to work in varying environments, including indoor and outdoor conditions, exposure to seasonal temperatures, and moderate to high noise levels in mechanical rooms, construction sites, and active work areas.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety procedures.
