What we offer you: Starting pay is $36.02/hour $3,000 Hiring Bonus Shift differential and overtime available Quarterly performance bonus potential Outstanding benefits such as medical, dental, vision, prescription, life and AD&D insurance, short- and long-term disability, plus HSA eligibility after 30 days 401(k) retirement savings plan with a 3% company match Paid time off, including 5 vacation days your first year plus 11 paid holidays Company reimbursement for prescription safety glasses and steel-toed boots A safe work environment through our Drive to Zero safety initiative Quality training, on-the-job technical development, classes, and tuition reimbursement Room to grow - we invest in advancement and promote from within A focus on sustainability, including energy efficiency and decarbonization efforts at our Hammond, IN plant What you'll do: Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and modify electrical and mechanical systems in a manufacturing environment Investigate mechanical, operational, and electrical issues and take corrective action Perform maintenance, wiring, and installation of motors, switches, switch panels, fuse boxes, lighting, testing, and power circuits Create and maintain up-to-date layouts of electrical circuits Diagnose and repair equipment issues to reduce downtime and improve operational performance Work with PLC systems, Allen Bradley technology, VFDs, AC/DC circuits, 4-20 mA circuits, and 440 MCCs Perform preventative maintenance to support equipment reliability and workplace safety We need you to have: High School Diploma or equivalent Trade school certification, related degree, or equivalent electro-mechanical experience preferred 3+ years working as an Electro-Mechanical Technician in a manufacturing environment, or a degree in a related field Experience with Allen Bradley systems, VFDs, PLC hardware and software, AC/DC circuits, 4-20 mA circuits, and 440 MCCs Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, schematics, drawings, handbooks, specifications, equipment manuals, and parts lists Strong troubleshooting skills with both electrical and mechanical systems A strong focus on maintaining high safety standards Who we are: America's largest metal food packaging producer A company that strives toward sustainability by reducing our carbon footprint, selecting like-minded suppliers, and providing recyclable products Silgan Containers is rethinking how to make the metal food can through increased recycled content, modern process improvements, renewable energy procurement, and other innovative practices Ready to Apply?
