Job Description

At FIS, our technology and our people are moving forward. We advance the way the world pays, banks and invests. We believe in building inclusive, diverse teams. Together, we innovate to help our colleagues, clients and communities succeed. If you're ready to grow your career and make an impact in fintech, we have one question: Are you FIS?

*NOTE: This role is required to sit, on-site in our Jacksonville, FL (HQ) office (Hybrid).

About the Role

As Senior Director of FP&A - Transformation & M&A, you will sit at the intersection of strategic finance and enterprise change. You will lead the financial architecture of FIS's most consequential initiatives: mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and large-scale finance transformation programs. Partnering directly with executive leadership, Corporate Development, and business unit leaders, you will bring rigorous financial discipline to complex, high-stakes decisions. This role demands both the analytical depth to model multi-dimensional transactions and the leadership presence to drive alignment across a matrixed global organization. Success is measured by transaction quality, integration outcomes, and the lasting financial capabilities you build.

What You Will Be Doing

Mergers, Acquisitions & Divestitures

  • Lead end-to-end financial due diligence for acquisitions, partnerships, and divestitures, including quality of earnings, synergy validation, and risk assessment
  • Build and own complex valuation and transaction models, including DCF, LBO, accretion/dilution, and scenario analyses
  • Define and track financial integration roadmaps, ensuring synergy targets translate into realized P&L impact
  • Partner with Corporate Development, Legal, and business leaders to structure deals and support board and executive-level presentations
  • Manage post-close financial integration, including carve-out accounting, stranded cost elimination, and systems consolidation planning

Finance Transformation

  • Lead enterprise finance transformation initiatives, including planning process redesign, financial systems modernization, and analytics capability building
  • Define the future-state operating model for FP&A, including data governance, KPI frameworks, and reporting standardization
  • Drive adoption of advanced planning tools, automation, and AI-enabled analytics to improve forecast accuracy and cycle time
  • Establish and enforce financial governance standards across business units to ensure consistency and control
  • Identify and eliminate inefficiencies in planning, reporting, and close processes, delivering measurable productivity improvements

Strategic Partnership & Leadership

  • Serve as a trusted financial advisor to executive and business unit leaders on capital allocation, investment prioritization, and strategic trade-offs
  • Translate complex financial analysis into clear, compelling narratives for board, investor, and executive audiences
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of FP&A professionals, fostering a culture of analytical rigor and continuous improvement
  • Represent FP&A in cross-functional steering committees and transformation governance forums

Required Qualifications

  • Expertise in M&A financial modeling, transaction structuring, and integration finance
  • Demonstrated track record leading or significantly contributing to finance transformation programs in large, complex organizations
  • Deep knowledge of P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and valuation mechanics
  • Experience partnering with Corporate Development, Investment Banking, or Private Equity in a deal context
  • Proficiency with enterprise financial planning systems (e.g., Anaplan, Adaptive, Hyperion) and data visualization tools
  • Exceptional executive communication skills with the ability to synthesize complexity into clear strategic insights
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams in matrixed, fast-paced environments
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a skills-based equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in fintech, payments, financial services technology, or similarly regulated environments
  • Background in carve-out finance, stranded cost analysis, or post-merger integration
  • Exposure to AI/ML applications in financial planning and forecasting
  • Experience presenting to boards of directors, audit committees, or investors
  • MBA, CPA, CFA, or comparable advanced certification
  • Familiarity with ERP and financial data architecture (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday)
