Position Summary Bernhardt Furniture is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Reporting & Operations Analyst to support our Transportation and Logistics team. This role combines business intelligence, reporting, analytics, and daily operational support to help drive data-driven decision making across domestic transportation, international logistics, warehousing, and distribution operations.
The successful candidate will develop and maintain reports, analyze transportation performance metrics, identify trends and cost-saving opportunities, and provide operational support to ensure efficient movement of products throughout the supply chain. This position requires strong analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and a passion for continuous improvement. Essential Responsibilities Reporting & Analytics
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance transportation and logistics reporting.
  • Create dashboards, scorecards, and KPI reporting utilizing Power BI, Excel, SQL, and other reporting tools.
  • Analyze freight spend, carrier performance, service levels, transit times, and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor transportation metrics and identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Produce recurring and ad hoc reports for leadership and operational teams.
  • Validate data accuracy and maintain reporting integrity across multiple systems.
  • Support automation initiatives that reduce manual reporting efforts and improve visibility.
Transportation Operations Support
  • Assist with daily transportation and logistics operations.
  • Support shipment tracking, carrier performance monitoring, and exception management.
  • Analyze routing guide compliance and transportation costs.
  • Research freight discrepancies, billing issues, and service failures.
  • Support domestic, international, ocean, and warehouse transportation activities.
  • Work closely with carriers, warehouses, distribution centers, and internal stakeholders to resolve operational issues.
Business Intelligence & Process Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and business workflows.
  • Assist with system integrations and data management initiatives.
  • Partner with transportation leadership to develop actionable insights.
  • Support special projects involving logistics network optimization, freight procurement, and operational performance improvement.
  • Document reporting procedures and maintain process documentation.
Qualifications Required
  • 2+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain analytics, or business intelligence.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables, Power Query, and complex formulas.
  • Experience creating dashboards and reports using Power BI or similar business intelligence platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
  • Experience with transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), or ERP systems.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and database reporting.
  • Experience in manufacturing, furniture, transportation, or distribution operations.
  • Knowledge of domestic freight, LTL, truckload, parcel, ocean freight, and import/export logistics.
  • Experience with process automation tools such as Power Automate.
