Description and Requirements
Position Summary
The Travel Manager will be responsible for managing Lenovo's corporate travel program across the U.S. and selected regional/global travel sub-categories. This role will cover both travel procurement sourcing and travel operations management, ensuring cost competitiveness, supplier performance, policy compliance, process efficiency, and high stakeholder satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Travel Category Management
  • Manage regional travel categories including TMC, air, hotel, car rental, rail, ground transportation, private aviation/jet, and other travel-related services.
  • Support selected global travel sub-categories or act as a subject matter expert for global travel initiatives.
TMC Management
  • Lead TMC evaluation, selection, implementation, governance, and performance management for the covered region.
  • Partner with travel managers in other regions to drive global consistency, collaboration, and service optimization.
Supplier Sourcing & Negotiation
  • Manage airline, hotel, car, Visa sourcing, RFPs, commercial negotiations, contracting, and supplier relationship management for travel vendors.
  • Drive cost savings, improved traveler benefits, service quality, and supplier innovation.
End-to-End Travel Operations
  • Oversee E2E travel processes including policy, pre-trip approval, booking, in-trip support, exception handling, and compliance.
  • Improve online/offline service processes and digital travel platforms.
Policy & Compliance
  • Support travel policy execution, compliance monitoring, exception reporting, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure suppliers and internal users follow Lenovo travel policies and local regulatory requirements.
Stakeholder Management
  • Build strong partnerships with business leaders, HR, Finance, Security, and regional local admins.
  • Manage stakeholder communications, issue resolution, and satisfaction improvement.
Data, Reporting & Insights
  • Manage travel data, dashboards, supplier scorecards, savings tracking, service KPIs, compliance reports, and traveler feedback.
  • Keep drive and identify optimization opportunities.
Risk, Duty of Care & Traveler Experience
  • Collaborate with Security and HR teams on traveler safety, risk management, emergency support, and duty-of-care processes.
  • Improve traveler experience while balancing cost, compliance, and service quality.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • 5+ years of corporate travel management experience, preferably in multinational companies.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong experience in travel sourcing, supplier management, TMC operations, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Knowledge of corporate travel platforms, online booking tools, expense systems, and travel reporting.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, project management, and communication skills.
  • Fluent Spanish and Portuguese strongly preferred besides English for Americas regional coverage.
  • Experience working across U.S., LATAM, or global travel markets is highly preferred.
  • Experience with travel risk management / duty of care.
  • Familiarity with corporate card, expense reimbursement, and payment processes.
  • Ability to manage regional implementation projects and vendor transitions.
  • Strong data capability: Excel, Power BI, supplier dashboards, or equivalent reporting tools.
