The incumbent independently manages assigned project lifecycles, collaborates with cross-functional internal teams, and designs internal certification training to elevate teacher efficacy and student learning outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design and expand literacy curriculum-based professional learning content: Apply instructional design methodologies to analyze professional learning needs, define clear learning outcomes, and to develop comprehensive, innovative, and effective materials rooted in evidence-based early literacy practices, adult learning theory, and best practices for curriculum-based professional learning.
  • Produce multimedia assets: Create engaging digital content including instructional videos, interactive teaching and learning and coaching simulations, and animations by writing scripts, recording audio, and utilizing authoring tools such as Camtasia, Rise 360, Storyline, Powtoon, Google Vids, Scribe, and H5P.
  • Partner across teams: Collaborate with cross-functional groups including Product Development, Internal Training, Product Management, Sales, Marketing, and Services Delivery to design professional learning that is aligned with Savvas literacy curriculum and related messaging, integrate feedback, and maintain organizational alignment.
  • Facilitate internal training: Design, deliver, and evaluate rigorous internal certification training programs for literacy-focused employees using instructor-led, hybrid, and asynchronous formats.
  • Conduct quality assurance: Perform detailed editorial reviews, usability testing, and accessibility compliance audits to ensure all learning assets meet copyright regulations, data privacy standards, and corporate quality metrics.
  • Manage project lifecycles: Lead multiple concurrent content development projects, including defining timelines, coordinating resources, and providing regular stakeholder updates to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
  • Refine existing materials: Audit, revise, and maintain current professional learning portfolios to ensure ongoing relevance, accuracy, and alignment with modern educational standards.

  • Deep understanding of and ability to apply the Science of Reading, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and culturally and linguistically responsive instructional practices.
  • Expertise in adult learning theory, backward design, and evidence-based instructional design, with demonstrated success creating engaging, impactful professional learning experiences.
  • Proven ability to translate literacy research and instructional theory into practical, actionable professional learning resources, tools, and implementation supports.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, facilitation, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to engage educators, school and district leaders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborative, innovative, and growth-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to seek and apply feedback, iterate on designs, problem solve, and continuously improve learning experiences.
  • Highly organized and adaptable, with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional quality and attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency with instructional design and collaboration tools, including Articulate 360, PowerPoint, Google Workspace, and AI-enabled productivity tools.
