Salary range:
A reasonable estimate for this position is $70,977 - $77,561. The posted salary rate range is for a full-time 100% appointment. Salary will be prorated based on the percent of appointment for part-time lecturer positions. The Department of African American & African Studies at UC Davis welcomes applications for undergraduate courses in the Winter and Spring quarters of the 2026-27 academic year. This position is covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement. Courses to be filled include: Winter Quarter 2027
Spring Quarter 2027
Quarter Dates -Winter Quarter: January 4, 2027 - March 19, 2027 Qualifications A Ph.D. is preferred, but we welcome candidates who are ABD, hold an M.A. degree in a related field, and/or who have previous experience teaching at the college/university level. Salary The posted salary range is for a 100% appointment for a Unit 18 Lecturer, which is based on teaching an average of 6 classes per quarter. The average expected appointment for this position may be 42-50% over one quarter. Payment for teaching an individual course is a fraction of this salary range based on the student enrollment of the class. Qualifications Basic qualifications
