Breast Medical Oncologist - Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Institute Washington DC

The Division of Hematology/Oncology at MedStar Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center in Washington, D.C, is growing rapidly and seeking a Breast Medical Oncologist to join its expanding faculty at Georgetown University Hospital. This position provides the ability to work with an internationally recognized breast cancer program at Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center.

This is an exceptional opportunity to join a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary team committed to delivering outstanding patient-centered care and advancing the prevention and treatment of breast cancer through clinical and translational research.

The successful candidate will:

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient care for patients with breast cancer across the disease continuum.
  • Participate in the inpatient care and consultation of patients with breast cancer, as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with breast surgeons, radiation oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, genetic counselors, advanced practice providers, nurses, research teams, and other specialists.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary breast tumor conferences and disease-focused program initiatives.
  • Engage in clinical and translational research studies.
  • Contribute to the continued growth of the breast cancer clinical and research programs.
  • Teach and mentor medical students, residents, fellows, and other trainees.
  • Participate in the academic activities of Georgetown University School of Medicine and Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible
  • Graduated from an accredited fellowship program.
  • MD Licensure
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing clinical excellence and professional development.
