Description and Requirements
Lenovo is seeking an AI Application Development Engineer to design, develop, and deploy innovative AI-powered solutions that drive business value and operational efficiency. This role is responsible for preparing, cleaning, and analyzing datasets for AI and machine learning models, developing AI applications leveraging LLMs, chatbots, agent-based workflows, and automation technologies, and integrating AI models into production environments through scalable APIs and deployment pipelines. The engineer will collaborate closely with data scientists, software engineers, product managers, and global stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions while monitoring and optimizing model performance for reliability and scalability. This position requires strong Python programming skills, hands-on experience with AI application development, machine learning, automation, and AI deployment frameworks, along with the ability to document technical processes and support solution testing and validation. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator who can serve as a bridge between development teams and business stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:


Data Preparation & Analysis:

Gather, clean, and preprocess datasets for AI model training.

Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to extract meaningful insights.

Implementation & Integration:

Assist in integrating AI models into applications and backend systems.
Develop APIs and pipelines for seamless model deployment.

Research & Innovation:

Stay updated with the latest AI technologies, tools, and frameworks.
Experiment with innovative AI approaches to address business challenges.

Collaboration:

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and product managers.
Participate in technical discussions and brainstorming sessions.

Testing & Validation:

Support the testing and validation of AI solutions to ensure reliability and scalability.
Monitor AI model performance and suggest improvements when needed.

Documentation:

Document AI workflows, technical specifications, and deployment processes.
Prepare user manuals and guides for implemented solutions.


Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Data Science or related field

Python programming experience


Preferred Qualifications:

Masters Degree in Computer Science, Data Science or related field

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

API integration experience

Mandarin Chinese language proficiency
