About the role:
As the Sr. Director for Poland I&C Delivery, you will be accountable for delivery of an approximately $1.2B I&C scope across Poland AP1000 Units 1, 2, and 3. You will own endtoend delivery of the full I&C lifecycle, including design input capture, engineering, software development, procurement, manufacturing, testing, site installation, and commissioning support, over the program duration. You will also carry full P&L responsibility for the I&C scope and operate as a core member of the EP program leadership team, ensuring delivery to schedule, cost, safety, and quality commitments. Additionally, you will be Westinghouse's primary I&C interface to the Polish utility customer and engages directly with Polish and European nuclear regulatory authorities on I&C licensing, qualification, and compliance. This includes a critical systems integration mandate (extending beyond the core WEC EP scope) with responsibility to ensure full and correct integration of Balance of Plant and Turbine Island systems. These systems will be delivered by Bechtel, under a separate EP contract into the overall I&C architecture. This requires sustained engagement with Bechtel and important subsuppliers, including major turbine island OEMs such as Alstom, to capture equipmentlevel interface requirements and manage integration across contractual boundaries. You will report to the Head of New Plant I&C Delivery. You will be based out of either our Cranberry Township or Warrendale, PA facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Own endtoend delivery of the Poland Units 1, 2, and 3 I&C scope, including safety, quality, schedule, cost, risk, and contractual performance.
Maintain full P&L accountability for the I&C scope, including margin protection, cash flow management, cost forecasting, and financial performance reporting.
Lead the complete I&C delivery lifecycle from design input capture and engineering through software development, procurement, manufacturing, testing, site installation, commissioning support, and closeout.
Prepare project cost expenditure forecasts and progress evaluations/projections to support project performance and financial reporting requirements. Review project expenditures for compliance with project baselines and scope.
Lead a geographically distributed organization averaging approximately 265 FTEs, spanning the U.S., Bulgaria, Spain, Poland, and other international locations, with annual workforce growth exceeding 100 personnel from contract execution through peak staffing. This includes advanced workforce planning, onboarding, and organizational leadership concurrently with active project delivery
Effectively coordinate and collaborate with cross functional organizations, including ICS engineering and manufacturing and APx/ESC Supply Chain functions to:
Plan, ramp, and lead a large, globally distributed I&C organization, including multiyear workforce planning, onboarding, and capability development in support of the Poland project
On board new suppliers and partners to maximize the delivery of I&C scope from the EMEA region
Address any product obsolescence issues,
Ensure completion of scope (design input capture, engineering, software development, procurement, I&C system assembly, factory testing, etc.) per contractual requirements.
Ensure integration of Balance of Plant and Turbine Island systems delivered under separate EPC contracts into the overall I&C architecture.
Be the primary Westinghouse interface to the Polish utility customer for all I&C matters, including scope execution, performance reporting, and issue resolution.
Work directly with Polish and European regulatory authorities on I&C licensing, qualification, and regulatory compliance requirements in coordination with overall APx program.
Interpret and transmit project and contract requirements to functional groups, and any subsequent changes following an integrated change management process.
Ensure all individuals performing project work are qualified to the appropriate project training requirements.
Develop project progress metrics to ensure team and stakeholders are kept informed of MMIS scope status. Provide inputs to top level project reports (internal and external).
Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, Suppliers and cross functional WEC functions
Develop people, organization, core processes, tools, and necessary interfaces to accomplish activities/work scope.
Work collectively with the APx Project VP/Director as an integral part of the project leadership team and report activities and ongoing progress.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Project Management, or a related field. Advanced degree in Business or Engineering preferred.
10+ years of experience managing large engineering and procurement projects.
Proven track record of successfully managing large complex projects and project teams from inception to completion.
Experience managing large new plant or operating similar comparable size and complexity I&C projects along with strong customer interface skills.
Knowledge of nuclear power plant design, construction, operations and regulatory requirements.
Westinghouse Program Management certification and/or PMI PMP certification.
Experience using SAP and Primavera P6.
Ability to travel to domestic and international sites (10 to 30% minimum time).
Familiarity with a broad range of nuclear plant design, licensing and operational areas.
Familiarity with the AP1000 nuclear reactor technology.
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $189,200.00 to $236,500.00 per year.
