Primary Function

The Aircraft Logs and Records Technician I is responsible for administering the maintenance system and maintaining aircraft logs and records in accordance with applicable regulations. Coordinates Contractor personnel access permissions and assigned roles, creates templates for assigned assets, and establishes inspection baseline information including NASA approved deviations.

Essential Duties

  • Assists in maintaining aircraft maintenance logs, records, and files
  • Records maintenance actions, inspections, and component changes as directed
  • Files and retrieves aircraft records in accordance with recordkeeping procedures
  • Assists in tracking component times, cycles, and life-limited parts
  • Supports review of maintenance documentation for completeness and accuracy
  • Assists with preparation of records for audits, inspections, and aircraft delivery
  • Updates maintenance management systems and databases
  • Supports correction of documentation discrepancies under guidance

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to accurately review and understand aircraft logbook entries including discrepancy histories, corrective actions and return-to-service documentation.
  • Knowledge of Maintenance Control roles
  • Ability to perform thorough documentation audits of aircraft maintenance records, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
  • Prior experience in an Operations/ Maintenance Control environment preferred
  • Experience and knowledge of NALCOMIS and OOMA

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 0-2 years of experience in aircraft records, maintenance administration, or a regulated technical environment preferred
  • Basic knowledge of FAA maintenance recordkeeping requirements desirable

Working Environment

A fast paced multi-tasking customer service oriented environment requiring a high degree of efficient and effective performance. Adaptability regarding schedule and task changes is necessary to accommodate changing priorities. Overtime may be required.
