Summary/ Objective:

Manage and maintain project business for the Construction Solutions (Lighting and Gear) department of Schaedler Yesco. Detail oriented work with project management software (JMS), specifically on Direct Through Stock (DTS) projects (material ships from manufacturers to Schaedler Yesco to manage and store until delivery is required by the customer). Departmental collaboration within SYD includes the construction solutions team, warehouse, outside salespeople, finance, and others. Frequent interfacing with manufacturer rep agencies (mainly lighting) and other vendors, as well as periodic warehouse walk-throughs (examining material) is also required.

Essential Functions:



  • Place DTS orders with vendors and/or manufacturer rep agencies.
  • Focus will be on lighting, with gear project help needed intermittently
  • Prepare material shipments through JMS (project management software) and Solar/Epicor (inventory management software) when requested by our customers (mainly electrical contractors) or their assigned SYD outside salesperson.
  • Interface with various lighting manufacturer rep agencies, including requesting quotations, dealing with shipment and material issues, etc.
  • Working with the Schaedler warehouse team, including regular walkthroughs in the warehouse to check on material, packing slips, confirming shipments, etc.
  • Enter direct/drop-ship orders for lighting projects.
  • Product and application knowledge gained overtime through project management.
  • Work with the SYD finance department on vendor invoicing issues, credits, etc.
  • Expedite and update purchase orders, as well as create and manage project shipment reports.
  • Periodic overtime may be necessary to complete daily workload during busier days.
  • Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
  • Attend all required internal SYD training and meetings.

Supervisory Responsibility:



  • This position is not a supervisory role and does not have any direct reports.


Work Environment:

This position is in office, with periodic time spent in the warehouse. Partial remote work is possible once training is complete (at manager's discretion).

Education and Experience:

High school diploma and

At least two years' experience in construction industry or electrical distribution is preferred.
