Senior Mechanical Engineer (Direct Hire) - Franklin, MA

Join a dynamic engineering team leading the design and development of advanced mechanical systems for cutting-edge defense and commercial applications. This direct hire opportunity offers the chance to influence full product lifecycle development-from concept and prototyping to production and sustainment.

Key Responsibilities



  • Lead mechanical engineering design, integration, and product development initiatives
  • Serve as technical authority across multiple programs
  • Oversee the full product lifecycle, including the transition from prototype to production
  • Conduct system-level analysis (tolerance studies, manufacturability, trade-offs)
  • Drive engineering change management, configuration control, and design reviews
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers
  • Develop and implement engineering processes and best practices



Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 7+ years of mechanical engineering experience (12+ preferred)
  • Strong background in product lifecycle development and technical leadership
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD tools (PTC Creo and/or SolidWorks)
  • Experience with GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and detailed technical drawings
  • Ability to obtain or maintain a U.S. Department of Defense security clearance (active Secret clearance required)
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced, evolving environments



Compensation



  • Target salary: $110K-$225K (flexible based on experience)
