Purpose of Role

Successfully execute sales plans for assigned national accounts while maintaining a long-term relationship-selling approach. This role manages and grows national account relationships, drives outside sales activity, maximizes Yamaha product distribution, and identifies opportunities for account expansion and market growth.

The ideal candidate will reside in one of the following locations: New York, Los Angeles, CA, or Chicago, IL.

Key Accountabilities Include



  • Ensure sales with assigned national accounts meet objectives
  • Ensure sales and marketing plans are executed
  • Resolve critical matters that impact assigned accounts
  • Ensure positive customer sales experiences
  • Maximize the effectiveness of channel partner interactions
  • Drive outside sales activity to support account growth, product placement, market expansion, and to strengthen relationships and increase revenue
  • Maximize distribution opportunities within assigned accounts and identify areas for increased Yamaha representation in underserved markets


Primary Responsibilities Include



  • Shape and execute account and territory sales plans; serve as the primary contact for all business matters pertaining to sales, planning, marketing, and growth for assigned accounts
  • Evaluate product placement, market coverage, dealer performance, and opportunities for account expansion
  • Report on market insights, competitive conditions, and products, and recommend countermeasures
  • Assess and recommend training options for channel partners within assigned accounts.
  • Develop and maintain sales forecasting for assigned key accounts; document account sales cycle activity.
  • Coordinate resources and support for demand generation for conferences, events, and all sales activities.
  • Identify and pursue growth opportunities within existing accounts, including underserved markets, new locations, expanded product representation, and incremental sales opportunities

Qualifications
Ideal

* Proven sales experience in the piano channel
* Experience with Business Intelligence and/or Analytical software
* Experience with CRM systems
* Proficiency with office productivity software
* Travel up to 35%; including some nights and weekends

Preferred

* 3+ years sales experience
* Bachelor's degree
* Experience working in retail or wholesale environment
* Tableau
* Experience with Salesforce.com
* Live in New York, Los Angeles, CA, or Chicago, IL.

Compensation



  • The hiring range for this position is $117,000 - $130,000 annually + bonus. This is the hiring range and does not include the value of benefits. The hiring range does not reflect total earning potential over time.
  • Final offers within the posted compensation range are based on qualifications, skills and experience required for the role.
