General Job Description Residential Wireman Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour, depending on experience and skill level Job Type: Full-time Work Location: In person / residential job sites Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dependable Residential Wireman to join our team. This role is ideal for a licensed residential electrician who takes pride in quality workmanship, strong troubleshooting, and excellent customer service. As a Residential Wireman, you will perform electrical service, maintenance, repairs, installations, and upgrades in residential homes. You will work directly with homeowners to diagnose electrical issues, explain solutions clearly, and complete work safely and professionally in compliance with NEC and local electrical codes. Responsibilities Perform residential electrical service calls, repairs, maintenance, and installations Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical issues in residential homes Install, replace, and upgrade residential wiring, breakers, outlets, switches, lighting, fixtures, panels, and related electrical components Perform panel upgrades, circuit additions, lighting upgrades, and general residential electrical improvements Ensure all electrical work is completed safely and in compliance with NEC, local codes, and company standards Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documents as needed Communicate clearly and professionally with customers regarding electrical issues, repair options, and completed work Maintain accurate records of labor, materials used, and work performed Keep tools, company vehicle, and work areas clean, organized, and safe Follow all company safety procedures and jobsite requirements Perform additional duties as assigned Min USD $25.00/Hr. Minimum Education None Minimum Years of Experience 2-4 Specific Qualifications Qualifications Current Colorado Residential Wireman License required Previous residential electrical experience required Strong knowledge of residential electrical systems, NEC requirements, and safe work practices Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues and provide effective repair solutions Ability to install, repair, and upgrade residential electrical components Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams Ability to read, write, and speak English to effectively communicate with customers and team members Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Valid driver's licnese and the ability to pass pre-employment screening such as background check and MVR Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team Physical Requirements & Work Environment Lift, carry, push, and pull tools, materials, ladders, and equipment up to 50 lbs Stand, bend, kneel, crawl, climb, reach, and work in tight spaces throughout the workday Work in attics, crawl spaces, garages, basements, confined spaces, and outdoor conditions Safely use ladders, hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment Work around electrical systems while following company safety procedures and code requirements Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, protective footwear, hearing protection, and fall protection when required Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while protecting the customer's home and property License Required Yes Job Locations US-CO-Centennial Company Overview IES is a national provider of industrial products and infrastructure services to a variety of end markets, including electrical, mechanical and communications contracting solutions for the commercial, industrial, residential and renewable energy markets.
