Job Purpose:

Performs the physical and administrative tasks involved in shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing, and distributing materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. Unpacks and checks received goods against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods, and rejects unsatisfactory items. Lifts heavy items and operates a forklift as needed. Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped, posts weights and shipping charges, and prepares goods for final shipment. Examines, stocks, and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines. May prepare kitting packages for assembly production. (This job may also be known as Shipping/Receiving Clerk, Pick-Packer, or Stores Clerk).


Nature of Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Routinely ensure that materials from Receiving Inspection are correctly identified, placed into the appropriate stockroom locations, and that transactions are completed.
  • Responsible for performing shortage fills for work orders during the put-away procedure.
  • Ensure that all FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures are complied with when materials are received into the stockroom.
  • Pull parts from stock for work orders on a daily basis under the direction of the kit-pull coordinator.
  • Perform daily cycle count tasks at the direction of the inventory coordinator (with a target goal of 100% accuracy).
  • Provide stockroom window service, as well as cage or tape & reel issues, at the direction of the stockroom leader or supervisor.
  • Conduct all assigned responsibilities in a manner that ensures the stockroom is maintained in a neat, safe, and orderly fashion.
  • Complete initial training in the Oracle data entry system to process simple transactions and research problems encountered during the put-away and kit-pulling processes.


Education and Experience:

  • A minimum of 1 year of stockroom or related material handling experience.
  • Strong basic math skills.
  • Ability to identify various electronic components and a working knowledge of Surface Mount Technology (SMT) components.
  • Proven ability to be a team player with excellent punctuality and attendance.
  • Flexibility to work adjusted or overtime hours as required.
  • Prior experience using the Oracle data entry system is highly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of UPS and FedEx shipping transaction systems.

Salary Range(annual): $39,520 - $42,120 ($19 - $20.25 / hour)

Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package. The total rewards package also includes a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business and, depending on the role, may include eligibility for restricted stock unit awards and participation in a discretionary bonus program.
