- Support the Operations Manager to coordinate and monitor production schedules to ensure timely completion of manufacturing orders.
- Track inventory levels of manufacturing operations supplies for production; communicate shortages or delays to the Operations Manager.
- Operations cycle counter and investigate discrepancies with Operations leadership.
- Assist in planning and implementing operations improvements to increase efficiency to reduce waste.
- Maintain accurate records of production data, downtime, and resource utilization for Daily Management System (DMS).
- Collaborate with quality assurance to ensure compliance with product specifications and standards.
- Verify and continuously update work instructions and training documents to ensure accuracy and alignment with current processes.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports for management review.
- Serve as a point of contact for internal departments regarding productions status and priorities.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and company policies throughout the plant.
- Additional duties as assigned.
YOU HAVE:
- Academic background in:
- Associate degree in Business, Operations Management, or related field; or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in or with:
- Previous inventory control, materials handling, or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Skills:
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
- Good communication skills both verbal and written, with customers, associates, and management personnel.
- Computer skills, including data entry, retrieval, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Multi-tasking, organizational, and exercising initiative skills.
- Self-starter, strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic blueprint reading skills.
- Measuring tool skills (Dial indicators, Micrometer, and Caliber).
- Reliability and attendance skills.
- Abilities to meet the physical and environmental demands:
- Ability to work with a flexible schedule depending on business needs.
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively to pressure.
- Ability to work effectively in a TEAM environment.
- Ability to lift 50 plus pounds; ability to bend, twist, reach, climb, pull, push, stand and squat.
