Key Responsibilities
- Sandblast sleeves and inserts for insulator casting operations
- Sandblast and grind finished insulators to meet quality standards
- Prepare materials and components for casting processes
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions
- Use hand tools, compressed air equipment, and sandblasting units safely and effectively
- Read and interpret tape measurements and basic blueprints
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to all safety, quality, and attendance requirements
- Support team members and communicate effectively with coworkers
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- No prior experience required; training provided
Skills & Knowledge:
- Basic ability to read tape measures and blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions)
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members
- Ability to follow multi-step instructions in a manufacturing setting
Certifications/Licenses:
Equipment Used
- Overhead crane
- Ratchet straps and rubber hammer
- Tape measure and stencil tools
- Compressed air tools
- Sanders, grinders, and sandblasting equipment
- General hand tools and cleaning equipment
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, kneeling, crouching, and reaching
- Regular use of hands for tools and materials
- Ability to lift and move materials (up to 50 Lbs with assistance or equipment)
- Ability to read close-up measurements and instructions
Work Environment
- Industrial manufacturing setting with loud noise levels
- Work performed near moving mechanical parts
- Exposure to chemicals and production materials
- Climate-controlled facility (ventilated, heated, and air-conditioned)

Pay Transparency
nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
Compensation Range: $16.30 - $30.20 Per Hour

nVent is seeking a Molder 1 to support manufacturing operations by assembling and casting insulators used in bus systems. This hands-on role is responsible for preparing materials and performing processes such as sandblasting and grinding to ensure high-quality production. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working in an industrial environment while following standard procedures and maintaining production efficiency.
