Requires a visionary leader who will mobilize team to work toward their vision, while providing structure and organizational support. Individual must be highly motivated and results oriented, who will be responsible to lead and manage the Sales organization including Regional Business Managers, Distribution Managers, Inside Sales Representatives and Independent Sales Representatives, as well as manage all Strategic Corporate Accounts. Achieve product development goals / new product sales and interface with engineering, manage FAE's and corporate marketing, as well as all activities required to achieve goals. The Company supplies high reliability power electronics and power semiconductor products to the Space, Aerospace, Medical and Military markets.

Location:
This position is onsite in our Hauppauge, NY Facility.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to accomplish corporate goals
  • Meet annual sales bookings and sales revenue goals
  • Identify, qualify, shape, and win strategically relevant, long term business opportunities
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer challenges to deliver and win compelling, high-impact solutions
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Develop and manage the business development pipeline to achieve corporate revenue objectives
  • Deliver sales presentations and new product plans to key clients in coordination with RBM's and Sales Representatives
  • Overall coordination, functional management, and leadership of sales channels and activities
  • Coordinate distribution channel by establishing quotas and goals
  • Build and execute account plans that drive sustainable business growth w/key accounts in key markets
  • Plan and execute the sales forecasting process to ensure accomplishment of sales goals
  • Develop and host annual sales meeting
  • Provide on-going leadership and development for RBMs and distributors, as well as evaluation of a strategic operating plan to meet or exceed sales goals
  • Coordinate activities of sales staff within the team
  • Support recruitment, hiring, retention, and management of sales staff
  • Effectively address technical requests and communicate with technical teams
  • Coordinate, develop and manage relationships with cross functional teams (HR, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Quality) to achieve annual and long term business objectives
  • Support the preparation of bids, proposals, and RFI's
  • Oversight and approval of sales transactions and related policies and procedures
  • Effective management and efficient use of company resources
  • Reinforce by example the company's commitment to its values, including its compliance program and code of conduct
  • Performs additional duties as required and or requested

Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Electrical engineering degree required with proven technical and sale track record
  • Understanding of power electronics as well as Space, Aerospace, Medical and defense markets
  • 10+ years sales experience selling highly technical electronic products
  • Experience with motion control, power distribution and surge protection products
  • Experience with hybrid microelectronic products
  • 3+ years of sales organization management
  • Experience establishing and managing sales channels and strategic partnerships
  • Experience in Product development and Marketing
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new technical capabilities to customer problems
  • Experience supervising and managing direct and independent sales representatives and managers
  • Demonstrated skill in successfully achieving sales targets while operating within budgetary constraints
  • In-depth understanding of customers and their requirements, negotiating skills, and ability to mobilize internal resources not in direct line of authority
  • Demonstrated ability to get results in complex, possibly adverse conditions
  • Demonstrated ability to build a team and develop a high-performance organization
  • Keen understanding of customer needs and requirements
  • Proficiency in strategic plan implementation
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills as well as strong communication skills
  • Ability to motivate, coach, mentor and lead a team
  • Excellent customer relationship skills as well as strong planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure in a small and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work well with all levels of company disciplines (i.e. Legal, HR, etc.)
  • Sales Operations experience, i.e., Field sales, Inside sales, CRM systems, etc
  • Establish a positive work environment where team members are motivated and empowered to make decisions
  • Sense of humor and ability to proactively problem solve
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Self-motivated; self-starter; accountable for delivering results

Education/Experience:
B.S.E.E. or equivalent from a four-year college or two to four years of related experience and/or training

Travel Requirements
  • Up to 60%
