Associate Product Manager - Advanced Surgical

The Associate Product Manager plays a key role in advancing CONMED's Advanced Surgical portfolio by owning the lifecycle, strategy, and roadmap for the Energy portfolio. This role focuses on driving sustaining initiatives from an upstream marketing perspective-using voiceofcustomer insights, competitive intelligence, and datadriven analysis to inform portfolio decisions, investment tradeoffs, and execution priorities.

The Associate Product Manager partners closely with crossfunctional teams to translate strategy into actionable requirements, support disciplined controlled market releases, and ensure alignment across development, operations, and commercial functions as products progress toward commercialization readiness.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Drive sustaining for advanced surgical products from marketing side, including line extensions, design changes, costreduction efforts, and endoflife (EOL) execution.
• Develop business cases for sustaining efforts including market sizing, financial modeling, and ROI analysis to support investment and resource allocation decisions, with clear datadriven recommendations.
• Create and drive controlled market release strategies for sustaining initiatives, ensuring disciplined planning, execution, and launch readiness, with clear crossfunctional communication across downstream and commercial teams.
• Continuously prioritize sustaining projects, balancing risk, and business impact, and driving transparency across crossfunctional teams around anticipated backorders and supply constraints.
• Lead voiceofcustomer (VOC) and field engagement activities related to sustaining initiatives, synthesizing insights into portfolio recommendations, requirements, and prioritization decisions.
• Translate portfolio strategy, VOC insights, and sustaining priorities into clear marketing and product requirements, supporting effective handoff and execution across R&D and crossfunctional teams.
• Partner with crossfunctional teams-including R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain-to ensure alignment from strategy through execution and commercialization readiness.
• Monitor competitive intelligence, emerging technologies, and market dynamics to maintain differentiation and inform portfolio strategy.
• Champion a datadriven, customercentered approach, ensuring the voice of the customer informs portfolio decisions, priorities, and execution.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in areas such as engineering or marketing
• Ability to meet with customers at hospitals and to be a member of a credentialing agency.
• Travel ability 25%-40%

Other Attributes:

• Must have excellent skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience operating in highly regulated environments set by governmental agencies, independent regulatory bodies, medical associations, and patient advocacy organizations throughout the product lifecycle.
• Ability to lead and contribute to interdisciplinary teams with demonstrated results.
• Proven ability to execute and lead upstream projects within timeline and budget.
• Demonstrated strong organizational and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with sales teams and physicians.
• Thorough knowledge of relevant anatomy, surgical procedures, and clinical needs.
• Thorough knowledge of surgeon and sales education process.

Disclosure as required by applicablelaw, the annual salary range for this position is 87,000-135,000. The actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, education and skill level. The salary range is CONMED's good faith belief at the time of this posting.
