Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Operations Analyst - Manhattan, Cancer Center.

Assists the Perlmutter Cancer Center (PCC) Analytics Team by planning, organizing, and executing operational analyses and decision support activities, including recording, analyzing, and reporting operations-related information. This position performs in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, and report details.

Job Responsibilities:

1) Prepares operations-related reports including but not limited to patient volumes, volume targets, telephone utilization, and Beacon reports. Proposes suggestions and solutions to the manager.

2) Responsible for identifying, querying, analyzing, and visualizing data through reports and presentations, to support operations, quality, and performance metrics

3) Assists in updating RVUs, MD utilization, and various other ad hoc operational analyses. Provides written analytical insight and summaries as needed.

4) Assists with data manipulation/loads using SQL or Python, and Tableau for volume, clinical analyses, operational analyses, patient registries, and other ad hoc data analyses. Provides automated solutions to enhance efficiency where applicable.

5) Queries and analyzes data from various hospital systems, including the electronic medical record system (Epic), enterprise data warehouse (EDW), and more, to gather meaningful insights and produce actionable reports for hospital operations

6) Collaborates with clinical and operations leaders in the development of ad hoc analyses to assist with decision-making. This includes supporting the implementation of scorecards/dashboards for individual departments as necessary.

7) Execute complex analytics to inform quality, safety, patient experience, and operations decisions

8) Appropriately plan and scope analyses, using quantitative and qualitative skills, finding and querying complex data, and sharing data and results in a digestible and visually appealing manner

9) Interprets monthly operational results, identifying trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.

10) Presents data through the building of dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools such as Tableau (preferred)

11) Transforms/interprets operations reports and requirements into actionable insights for hospital operations.

12) Keeps abreast of new developments, techniques, and methods regarding technical solutions in supporting the different reports and systems.

13) Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree in pertinent field (clinical informatics; information management; biostatistics; epidemiology; public health; health care administration; or similar field)
Minimum two years of related experience.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, for a variety of audiences.
Complies with regulatory requirements appropriate for position.
Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external clients.
Ability to coordinate and manage multiple priorities in a changing environment with minimal supervision.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office tools
Must be able to generate moderately complex reports and multimedia presentations.
Advanced analytic skills with the ability to analyze and interpret data through complex analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:
Masters Degree in a Business or health-related field.
Operations-related experience, preferably in a healthcare setting

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $70,481.60 - $80,560.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
