We are seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of IT Systems Administrator. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing file servers, the Nutanix virtual environment, and workstation imaging. You will also develop, implement, and manage software and applications that enhance communication and productivity across the company.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
* Associate's degree in computer science or related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience
* 5+ years of experience in the IT field
* Ability to manage and implement software and server infrastructure
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
* Strong troubleshooting skills for software and systems
* Strong problem-solving skills
* Strong written, communication, and documentation skills
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
* Support and administer server-based applications including Microsoft Windows Server environments
* Support and manage Microsoft 365 (O365) and Azure infrastructure
* Support Nutanix virtual infrastructure
* Support Cisco Meraki networking environment
* Develop specialized tools and applications
* Streamline procedures between departments and offices
* Manage and optimize network traffic across WAN infrastructure
* Work with department managers on budgeting for software and hardware upgrades
* Maintain and support end-user hardware including plotters, printers, and peripheral devices
* Work with departments to standardize software loads, configurations, patches, and updates
* Assist CAD Manager with standardizing CAD software loads, configurations, patches, and updates
* Coordinate network procedures for data storage
* Research and implement new technologies related to engineering and CAD
* Coordinate with CAD software managers to maintain updates and ensure compatibility across systems
* Support cybersecurity initiatives including patching, endpoint protection, and access control
* Responsible for annual file archiving procedures
* Configure VoIP phone systems, extensions, and user accounts
* Attend conferences as necessary
* Stay current with emerging technologies that may impact company systems and pursue continued education and training
* Assist the IT Group Leader with administrative and management duties as requested
* Establish and enforce company standards and procedures
* Assist with employee onboarding related to company computer systems and policies
