Posting Summary
Rutgers University-Camden's Community Partnership Centers is looking to hire part-time Recreation Aides to assist in organization, development, and personal leadership in the recreation activities of all types in the City of Camden Community Centers and DICE (the Division of Impact and Community Engagement) programs, events and activities. The RUC CPC Recreation Aides will assist and provide support services to staff responsible for recreation and education programming activities. These positions may provide input or recommendations regarding curriculum planning, subject to approval of supervisory staff. The exercise of independent judgement is limited due to the nature of the work.

This position is hiring multiple vacancies.

This is a grant funded position contingent upon the availability of funds to support it.

Salary Details The starting salary for this position is $20.00 per hour.

Qualifications






Minimum Education and Experience
*Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
*Requires up to two years relevant experience in an administrative function, good communication and interpersonal skills, and computer literacy.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Preferred Qualifications

  • Current or former teachers, experience working in after school settings
  • Experience working with non-profits and families
  • Solutions-oriented and able work in a fast-paced environment that engages multiple, diverse stakeholders
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is preferred.

Equipment Utilized
  • Experience with Google and Microsoft Suite
Physical Demands and Work Environment
This position requires frequent travel throughout the City of Camden and surrounding areas. Evening and weekend availability may be required based on operational needs.
