Job Description
Job Title: Senior Acquisition Specialist Location: San Diego, California (Hybrid) Clearance: TS/SCI Required Status: Full-Time Salary: $100,000-$130,000 Metronome is seeking a Senior Acquisition Specialist to support a high-visibility U.S. Navy program office under PMW. This role is ideal for an experienced acquisition professional who understands the full defense acquisition lifecycle and thrives in complex, mission-driven environments. You'll play a key role in shaping acquisition strategies, supporting milestone documentation, managing program schedules, and advising leadership across Navy modernization efforts.
What You'll Do:
Support the PMW Acquisition Manager across Navy acquisition programs and initiatives Develop, review, and manage acquisition documentation including ICDs, CDDs, and CPDs Execute acquisition strategies aligned with DoD 5000, SecNAV 5000, and Adaptive Acquisition Frameworks (AAF) Build and maintain Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) Track program cost, schedule, and performance across multiple development efforts Lead risk identification, mitigation planning, and program dependency management Coordinate with technical and functional stakeholders to support planning and decision-making Prepare executive-level briefings, reports, and presentations for leadership
What You Bring:
8+ years supporting DoD acquisition organizations 3+ years supporting Navy acquisition programs Experience with PEO C4I, SPAWAR, or Navy systems acquisition Strong understanding of cost, schedule, and performance management Working knowledge of DoD/SecNAV 5000 series and modern acquisition pathways Advanced proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Bachelor's degree in a relevant field Active TS/SCI Clearance

* Experience with acquisition management, preferably with Navy, SPAWAR, or PEO C4I programs and policies * Experience managing cost, schedule, and performance of programs under the Defense Acquisition System * Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint * Knowledge of DoD DoD/SECNAV 5000 instructions, and Adaptive Acquisition Frameworks (AAF) * Ability to self-start, multitask in a fast-paced environment, and prioritize multiple tasks with minimal supervision * Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills * 8yrs DoD Acquisition Command Experience * Bachelor's DegreeKnowledge of DoD DoD/SECNAV 5000 instructions * Experience with analytical activities for U.S. government acquisition programs, including stakeholder requirements definition, requirements analysis, test and evaluation, trade studies, or architecture design for U.S. government processes
