State Department Federal Credit Union is seeking an Organizational Accounts Manager to build and strengthen relationships with Select Employer Groups (SEGs), government entities, and affiliated partners within SDFCU's Field of Membership. This role leads Organizational Account Specialists, ensures seamless account management, service delivery, and operational excellence, and supports continuity by performing specialist duties as needed. Responsibilities also include policy and procedure development, global member support, and new product implementation, requiring virtual and in-person engagement, international travel, and flexibility across time zones.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Manage and provide direction to Organizational Account Specialist(s), with responsibility for future team growth.
  • Assign, prioritize, and monitor workloads to ensure timely and effective account servicing.
  • Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to support team development.
  • Ensure consistency in processes, service delivery, and adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Step in and independently execute all responsibilities of the Organizational Account Specialist role when necessary to maintain service continuity.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain relationships with organizational accounts, SEGs, and partner institutions.
  • Serve as primary escalation point for organizational representatives and stakeholders.
  • Strengthen engagement and account penetration within existing groups while identifying new opportunities.
  • Oversee onboarding, maintenance, and ongoing servicing of organizational accounts.


Qualifications

Required Skills and Competencies:



  • 2-3 years of professional experience in financial services, organizational account management, operations, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field required; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability, including experience managing or mentoring staff and overseeing team performance.
  • Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build and maintain partnerships across members, organizational accounts, vendors, government entities, and internal teams.
  • Proven ability to manage vendor relationships, including coordination, oversight, and contract negotiation.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including experience delivering presentations, leading events, and engaging diverse audiences.
  • Working knowledge of credit union products, financial services, and basic finance principles.
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities, with the ability to operate both strategically and tactically.
  • Ability to develop and implement policies, procedures, and operational frameworks to support organizational account management.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
