Our Minneapolis office is seeking an Architectural Designer II who is ready to take the next step in their professional growth by contributing both creatively and technically to complex project work.

In this role, you'll play an active part in shaping design solutions and advancing project deliverables through all phases of design and construction. You'll take ownership of defined portions of project scope, collaborate closely with project teams and consultants, and help transform design concepts into well-executed architectural solutions. This position offers the opportunity to deepen your technical expertise, strengthen your design voice, and make meaningful contributions to projects that positively influence the people and communities they serve.


What you will be doing:

  • Develop and advance design solutions through all phases of a project, from concept through construction.
  • Contribute to design exploration through sketching, drafting, 3D modeling, visualization, and computational design tools.
  • Prepare and participate in design presentations, project documentation, and technical detailing efforts.
  • Coordinate project information and BIM models with internal teams, consultants, and contractors.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to support integrated design solutions and successful project outcomes.
  • Participate in construction administration activities, including site observations and field verification.
  • Research and apply building materials, products, assemblies, codes, and technical solutions to support project delivery.
  • Support and perform site studies, massing explorations, programming, and space planning efforts.
  • Take ownership of assigned project work, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely completion.
  • Apply regenerative design principles and contribute to a culture of innovation, collaboration, and design excellence.

What we look for:

  • Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
  • 3-6 years of professional architectural experience.
  • Passion for design and creating environments that positively impact people and communities.
  • Working knowledge of architectural design, construction documentation, building systems, and applicable codes.
  • Proficiency with Revit and BIM workflows; experience with Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Interest in developing expertise with tools such as Rhino, Enscape, and Lumion.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to independently manage assigned project responsibilities while contributing effectively within a team environment.
  • Curiosity, initiative, and a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Interest in sustainable and regenerative design approaches.

Compensation provided is based on our national range which varies by work location and may also depend on accreditation, experience and responsibilities. Our talent management team can share more about the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process.
