Job Summary: The Manager-RICA Educational Advocacy (EA)-Grant provides departmental leadership, strategic oversight, and operational direction for school-based programming and RICA educational advocacy initiatives serving children, adolescents, and families through Loma Linda University Children's Hospital (LLUCH) RICA program. This position oversees curriculum development, program implementation, multidisciplinary collaboration, staff leadership, operational planning, community partnerships, and quality improvement initiatives while supporting trauma-informed, whole-person care approaches across school, clinic, and community settings. The RICA EA Manager works collaboratively with departmental leadership, healthcare providers, school districts, behavioral health teams, community agencies, and academic partners to support program growth, organizational initiatives, and continuity of care for vulnerable youth and families. The role is responsible for supporting systems-level coordination related to social determinants of health (SDOH), including barriers associated with healthcare access, housing instability, food insecurity, transportation, educational engagement, behavioral health, and family support systems. This position also oversees operational compliance with Medi-Cal ECM standards, IEHP requirements, organizational policies, program reporting expectations, and documentation standards within EPIC, IEHP platforms, and other required systems while supporting strategic planning, staff development, program evaluation, and long-term program sustainability. Performs other duties as needed. Education and Experience: Master's degree in Education, Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Public Health, Human Services or related field required. Minimum five years of professional experience working youth, families, educational systems, healthcare environments, behavioral health programs, or community-based services. Experience in leadership, curriculum development, multidisciplinary coordination, school-based programming preferred. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or alternative schedules to support programming is preferred. Knowledge and Skills: Advanced knowledge of patient advocacy, whole-person care approaches and multidisciplinary care coordination. Knowledge of trauma-informed care, curriculum development, behavioral health interventions, and youth development practices. Understanding of social determinants to health, familiarity with Medi-Cal, IEHP, HIPAA, FERPA, mandated reporting, and confidentiality standards. Able to read; write and speak with professional quality; use computer and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, Access); operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position. Relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; provide leadership; be assertive and consistent in enforcing policies ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, rules and laws; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate; accept direction. Think critically; work independently; perform basic math and statistical functions; manage multiple assignments; compose written material; work well under pressure; problem solve; organize and prioritize workload; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail. Distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.
