Outpatient Attending - Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine

The Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Attending Pulmonologist to join our expanding clinical faculty network in Manhattan. This position is tailored for a dedicated clinician-educator focused on long-term program stability and building a robust, high-volume outpatient practice. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive ambulatory care for subspecialty and general pulmonary conditions while actively contributing to our fellowship teaching programs and inter-departmental initiatives.

Key Responsibilities



  • Ambulatory Clinical Practice: Deliver high-quality, evidence-based outpatient care for a diverse patient panel presenting with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, interstitial lung disease (ILD), unexplained dyspnea, and chronic cough.
  • Practice Building & Continuity: Focus on long-term practice growth and longitudinal patient management within our Faculty Group Practice (FGP) framework, maintaining clinic throughput and utilizing standard multidisciplinary clinical protocols.
  • Academic & Fellowship Instruction: Supervise and mentor Pulmonary & Critical Care fellows, residents, and medical students during outpatient rotations and clinical sessions.
  • Inter-Departmental Collaboration: Participate in division-wide academic activities, case conferences, and cross-departmental research or clinical initiatives (including potential synergies with environmental health, occupational medicine, or thoracic surgery).

Minimum Qualifications

Medical Degree (MD or DO) with board certification or eligibility in Pulmonary Medicine

Eligibility for an unrestricted New York State Medical License and DEA registration.

Demonstrated commitment to medical education, clinical excellence, and program development.
