We're looking for a strategic and results-driven Procurement Category Leader - Software & SaaS to design and lead enterprise sourcing strategies that optimize cost, performance, and long-term value. In this role, you will own the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for software and SaaS spend-partnering cross-functionally to align sourcing strategies with business priorities and drive measurable outcomes across the digital supply chain.

This is an opportunity to influence enterprise-wide decisions, strengthen supplier partnerships, and elevate procurement capabilities at scale.

This is an on-site position which will require the candidate to report and work from the office. Therefore, interested candidates should be within a 50-minute radius from Temple, TX.

What You'll Do:

  • Own category strategy and execution for enterprise Software and SaaS, delivering measurable cost savings and year-over-year improvements in total cost of ownership while maintaining or improving service levels
  • Translate business needs and technology priorities into actionable sourcing strategies in partnership with IT&D, Finance, Legal, and Operations
  • Lead supplier engagement, evaluation, and performance management, ensuring alignment with commercial, risk, and governance standards
  • Oversee contract lifecycle management including quotes, negotiations, renewals, and execution for a high volume of agreements
  • Manage annual budgets and track financial impact, including ROI and savings achieved through improved contract baselines and governance
  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive successful sourcing initiatives and category outcomes
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to strategic buyers, supporting team development, performance management, and continuous improvement
  • Optimize procurement processes and analytics to increase efficiency and strengthen enterprise sourcing capabilities
  • Support both high-value strategic engagements and broader software spend through policy execution and controls

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related technical or analytical field required; Master's degree or relevant industry certifications preferred
  • Minimum of four (4) years of supply chain, procurement, or related experience; experience in software/SaaS sourcing strongly preferred
  • Leadership experience or demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
  • Proven experience managing supplier relationships, contract negotiations, and total cost of ownership initiatives
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to partner effectively across diverse teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a business-focused mindset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and recognize market and supply dynamics that impact decision-making

This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
