Electroencephalography - EEG Tech

Job Summary: Prepares patient for EEG exam, applies electrodes to patient's head, operates and maintains appropriate equipment, identifies tracing, prepares records.

• Required Education: High school diploma or its educational equivalent, approved by a State's Department of Education or a recognized accrediting organization.
• One (1) year of experience as an Electroencephalograph Technician in a hospital or health care setting, OR
• Satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, where Certificate of Completion from the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) recognized training program, OR
• Graduate from Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited program may be substituted for one (1) year of experience.

Preferred Education: N/A

• Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA).

Preferred Certifications & Licensure: N/A

• Required Skills & Experience: One (1) year of EEG Technologist experience.

• Shift: 2 12-hour shifts and an 11-hour shift
