Job Purpose:

Are you passionate about continuous improvement projects to help your team and company run more efficiently? Join our team at JX! The Parts Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for driving operational excellence, frontline efficiency, and process standardization across all JX Parts Departments. Reporting directly to the Director of Parts, this role serves as an internal consultant and turnaround specialist, traveling extensively to branches to diagnose operational bottlenecks and elevate customer-service execution. By bridging the gap between corporate strategy and branch execution, this role ensures maximum data integrity, optimal tool utilization, and an elite customer experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Honor Commitments:

  • Monitor and resolve inventory data integrity issues at the branch level, specifically leading the daily review and correction of negative quantities on hand.
  • Ensure branch compliance with core parts technologies, maximizing the utilization and efficiency of dispatch and delivery tools like Elite Extra and RingCX.
  • Establish, monitor, and analyze front-counter efficiency metrics, specifically optimizing ticket cycle times from initial customer engagement to final invoice completion.

Create Positive Experiences:

  • Evaluate and elevate the customer experience at struggling locations by auditing counter operations, analyzing phone etiquette, and recommending corrective action plans.
  • Own the Parts Scorecard module, utilizing metrics to identify underperforming branches and proactively deploy targeted coaching to improve performance.
  • Travel to network locations up to 75% of the time, providing heavy on-site support to stabilize struggling branches and coach local teams back to operational health.

Foster Lifelong Learning:

  • Lead the creation, documentation, and deployment of parts Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), collaborating with the internal subject matter experts to ensure processes are repeatable, easy to follow, and simple to transition for succession planning.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive educational rollouts covering counter operations, modern warehouse management practices, phone etiquette, and other system usage.
  • Partner with local Parts Managers after an on-site visit to establish post turnaround sustainability plans, ensuring behavior changes stick after visits occur.

Exhibit a Pioneering Spirit:

  • Identify operational bottlenecks at the branch level and pitch technology innovations to eliminate waste, improve counter speed, and increase warehouse accuracy.
  • Act as the field champion for new part initiatives, ensuring frontline alignment for global corporate initiatives.

Demonstrate Good Stewardship:

  • Audit and build actionable reporting surrounding warehouse efficiency, weighted average of parts ordered, purchase orders issued, order frequencies, and bin location accuracy.
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Purchasing and Director of Pricing to ensure branch level compliance with network inventory parameters, price locks, and return structures.

Other Duties as Assigned:

  • Adapt to the evolving needs of the organization and undertake additional responsibilities as required, reflecting our commitment to flexibility and responsiveness in meeting objectives.
