Responsibilities:

Presbyterian is seeking a Project Manager Associate that is responsible for managing projects under general supervision. Within formal project management methodologies, plan project timeline and milestones, track progress, monitor and communicate project status regularly, and identify and resolve issues related to project. Establishes and maintains project-related databases and documentation, and provide user and technical support on project management standards and tools

Some key responsibilities include

  • Responsible for managing Business Plan on time and on schedule.
  • Uses project management tools and techniques to develop work plans, tasks, timelines, and measurements for all project assignments.
  • Provides research, analytical, information support, and recommendations when requested, for decision making.
  • Participate on Performance Excellence Projects/Lean Six Sigma Projects as needed
  • Builds, customizes, and maintains project management tools/templates such as schedule and cost management, project change control, and issues and actions tracking.
  • Follows up on project issues and action items for project manager.
  • Develops and maintains standards and content of project-related databases, documentation library and web page.
  • Develops and maintains standards and content of the Project Management office documentation library and web page.
  • Provides user and technical support to the project team and business areas on project management tools and standards.
  • Provides necessary project documentation, such as project schedule maintenance, process documentation, project journal, decisions logs, formal agendas and minutes.
  • Compiles and maintains interim project reports and meeting minutes.
  • Coordinates major project events such as the kickoff, steering committee meetings, and celebration.
  • Coordinates and supports Project Management Office systems, training, and resource planning.
  • Assists the project manager in various activities such as budget monitoring and in meetings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, Nursing, Health Information Technology or related field of study is preferred.
  • An Associates Degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, Nursing, Health Information Technology or related field of study is required.
  • A minimum of three years of experience supporting Project Managers in the delivery of healthcare related projects is preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of experience with Microsoft Project, or similar PPM software is preferred. Preferred, but not required, PMI Certification Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP).
