Play a pivotal role in advancing specialty care within a high-demand clinical area where access, innovation, and patient outcomes are top priorities. This opportunity offers the ability to directly influence how Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology services evolve within a leading academic health system. This Advanced Practice Provider position at UVA Health blends clinical autonomy, program development, and specialty exposure into a single, career-defining role. You will work closely with an established group of physicians while building your own patient panel and contributing to a growing service line that is meeting significant unmet patient demand. The Role This is a high-impact outpatient role designed for an APP who is energized by both clinical practice and the opportunity to help shape a developing specialty program. As the first APP in the division, you will have meaningful input into workflow design, patient care models, and long-term program growth. In this role, you will balance independent clinical responsibilities with close collaboration across a multidisciplinary team, managing a diverse patient population in both general allergy and eosinophilic esophagitis (EOE). MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Graduate of an accredited graduate school of nursing or physician assistant program with a master's degree. Experience: Department and unit specific. Licensure: License or license eligible as an Advance Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner, Physician Associate, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, and Certified Nurse Midwife) as set forth by the state of Virginia. If Nurse Practitioner, license to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia is required. Must demonstrate and maintain all credentialing and licensing requirements of UVA Health System, the Virginia Board of Medicine or the Virginia Board of Nursing, and appropriate certifying bodies. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Current PALS/NRP, as required, specific to position. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) as required, specific to position. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping, reaching (overhead, extensive, and repetitive); Repetitive motion: computer keyboard. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 50 - 100lbs. May be exposed to noise, radiation, radioactive materials, blood/body fluids and infectious disease. The pay range for this role is $116,123.00 - $171,163.20 annually.
