Plans, organizes, directs, and evaluates all phases of a competitive intercollegiate bowling program. Understands the role of NCAA and Division III athletics in the educational process and recruits quality student-athletes who reflect and represent the quality of Elmhurst University. Position Status: Exempt Salary Range: This part-time temporary coaching position will be paid approximately $15,000 as a stipend per academic year, and may be rehired to work during future seasons. The actual stipend offered will depend on a candidate's experience and education, length of applicable season including any pre-season and post-season work, required time commitment during the applicable season, and departmental budget. Working Conditions/Physical Requirements The essential functions of this position are primarily performed in a variety of indoor and outdoor facilities, with regular exposure to varying weather conditions, including extended periods of extreme heat and cold. Work requires frequent districtwide, statewide, and out-of-state travel for recruiting or attending athletic competitions. Required abilities include walking, navigating uneven or slippery surfaces, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods; may require lifting and transporting equipment in excess of 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally; and using fine motor skills to operate and maneuver a range of athletic or training equipment.
