Regulatory Research Analyst

About the Role:

If you love connecting the dots between regulations, housing programs, and real-world impact, this role puts you at the center of affordable housing compliance and research.

As a Regulatory Research Analyst, you will help with new property set up to ensure compliance under USDA-RD, Tax Credit, HUD Multifamily programs, HOME, and Local Bond programs.

What You'll Do:

• Manage relationships with regulatory agencies, housing authorities, community organizations, and other stakeholders to support program compliance and operational objectives.
• Serve as the subject matter expert on affordable housing regulations, monitoring legislative and policy changes and communicating impacts to internal stakeholders.
• Analyze, interpret, and implement federal, state, and local affordable housing requirements, ensuring policies, procedures, and resources remain current and compliant.
• Lead compliance-related change management initiatives, including updating documentation, monitoring regulatory forms, and developing supporting procedures.
• Partner with leadership to develop and implement operational improvements, using industry expertise and independent judgment to drive process enhancements and regulatory compliance.

Who You Are:

• Bachelor's degree in legal studies, Business Management, or Regulatory Affairs
• Three plus (3+) years of affordable housing corporate compliance experience
• Superior written and oral communication skills
• Proven success implementing plans/actions and taking ownership of assignments to achieve goals
• Comfortable self-teaching or utilizing resources when encountering new concepts or program requirements
• Displays well developed analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Sets and maintains high personal work standards, while demonstrating an attention to detail and a focus on quality with excellent organizational skills
• Highly functional in a dynamic, challenging environment, with the ability to anticipate and remove barriers that slow down or prevent staff from delivering on stated objectives

Annual Salary Range:$80,800-$90,900
