The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Washington invites applications for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor, with an anticipated start date of November 1, 2026. We seek applicants who demonstrate commitment to excellence in research, teaching, and service in a diverse and inclusive academic community. The successful candidate will join our faculty on a full-time basis for a twelve-month appointment, with 3-year term, renewable if appointed at the Assistant Professor level. This posting will fill two openings, one at the Assistant Professor rank and one at the Associate Professor rank. UW Medicine is the premier academic medical center in Washington state, encompasses 4 hospitals in the Seattle metro area and is the primary referral hospital for the five-state WWAMI (Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana and Idaho) region. The department supports a residency program, four fellowship programs and is a major teaching site for UW medical students. The base salary range per month will be $25,000 - $30,834 ($300,000 - $370,008 annually) at the Assistant Professor level and $31,667 - $37,500 ($380,004 - $450,000 annually) at the Associate Professor level, with competitive total compensation commensurate with experience and qualifications or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range is inclusive of base salary provided through the UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan in addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations. Compensation provided by UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan may provide eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization. Other compensation associated with this position may include incentive through UW Physicians practice plan. The successful candidate will be expected to perform outpatient obstetrical imaging, will be expected to work in high-volume inpatient and outpatient clinical practices, and will be expected to work in and build teams, and will be expected to support the academic mission of UW Medicine to improve the health of the public through education and research. The successful candidate will benefit from the strong research infrastructure and interdisciplinary culture that exists within our department and the broader UW community. Candidates will be expected to provide medical services at the University of Washington affiliated hospitals, train fellows, residents and medical students, and make academic contributions to the field. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service. This opportunity will be predominantly at the UW Montlake Campus in Seattle; however, the division also provides care at satellites in the greater Seattle area each week, Antepartum Labor & Delivery coverage, and a large telemedicine program. Joining the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at UW provides a broad scope of clinical opportunities including: treating the most complicated fetal anomalies and maternal conditions in a diverse patient population, working on an extremely high acuity labor floor, engaging in a unique collaboration with subspecialists in complex maternal conditions, reading and interpreting obstetric ultrasounds for all of UW Medicine, and participating in a growing fetal therapy program. UW additionally has a strong record of supporting educators and researchers especially in grant funding within our department. All University of Washington faculty are expected to engage in teaching, research, and service. Qualifications Applicants for this position must meet the following minimum qualifications: Candidates must have a M.D. degree or foreign equivalent and must have completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowship. In addition, candidates must be board certified and/or board eligible in Maternal-Fetal Medicine. A foreign equivalent is acceptable. Candidates at the Associate Professor rank should have at least 5 years of experience. All candidates must be eligible for and able to maintain a Washington State medical license.
