Aquent Studios is seeking a Managing Director, Strategic Accounts to lead business development, account growth, and senior client relationships across key enterprise accounts. This role is focused on expanding Aquent Studios' strategic relevance with senior leaders and shaping opportunities across marketing, design, creative operations, content supply chain, AI enabled production, technology enabled services, and marketing operating model transformation.

The Managing Director will be accountable for growing new and existing accounts, building trusted executive relationships, identifying whitespace, shaping strategic opportunities, and mobilizing the right Aquent Studios capabilities to deliver measurable client and commercial value.

Core responsibilities


Strategic account growth and business development

  • Develop and own growth plans for priority accounts, including relationship strategy, whitespace analysis, pipeline development, revenue growth, and margin performance.
  • Build and convert new business opportunities across both existing and prospective enterprise accounts.
  • Identify new stakeholders, buying centres, business problems, and opportunities for broader engagement.
  • Shape strategic proposals, scopes, pricing models, and commercial strategies that balance client value, growth potential, delivery risk, and profitability.
  • Partner with Aquent Studios leadership to pursue, qualify, and win work that strengthens our position in the market.


Senior client relationship leadership

  • Build trusted relationships with senior client leaders across marketing, creative, digital, procurement, operations, technology, and transformation functions.
  • Position Aquent Studios as a strategic partner across creative operations, content transformation, AI enabled delivery, and marketing modernization.
  • Lead senior client conversations around business priorities, content effectiveness, speed to market, cost efficiency, AI, automation, technology enablement, and operating model change.
  • Develop executive account narratives, stakeholder maps, and relationship plans that deepen Aquent Studios' presence within key accounts.


Solution shaping and transformation

  • Identify and shape higher value solutions across advisory, managed services, content supply chain optimization, AI enabled workflows, creative operations transformation, technology enabled services, and marketing modernization.
  • Partner with clients and internal teams to define engagement models that include clear governance, effective intake, strong decision rights, workflow design, measurement frameworks, and scalable delivery approaches.
  • Translate market trends, client needs, and emerging technologies into practical opportunities for Aquent Studios.
  • Bring a strong point of view on how marketing, design, creative operations, technology, and AI are changing the way enterprise clients need to work.


Commercial stewardship

  • Own account level commercial performance, including revenue growth, margin performance, pipeline health, forecast accuracy, and opportunity quality.
  • Ensure account growth is commercially disciplined, strategically aligned, and financially sustainable.
  • Partner with finance, operations, legal, and client teams to support pricing, contracting, scope development, change management, and account planning.
  • Use account data, client insight, and delivery performance to inform commercial decisions and future growth opportunities.


Client experience and account oversight

  • Ensure a premium client experience across assigned accounts, with strong executive engagement, clear communication, and high standards of work.
  • Provide senior oversight on major engagements, strategic issues, escalations, client alignment, and moments requiring senior judgement.
  • Partner with Engagement Managers and cross functional teams to ensure account priorities, client expectations, and commercial objectives are understood and well managed.


Internal leadership

  • Lead and develop account teams, including Engagement Managers and other client facing leaders.
  • Mentor team members on executive presence, commercial judgement, relationship development, account growth, and strategic problem solving.
  • Collaborate across strategy, creative, production, operations, technology, finance, and executive leadership to mobilize Aquent Studios around client priorities.
  • Contribute to Aquent Studios' account leadership model, market positioning, solution development, and growth strategy.


Qualifications



  • 12 + years of senior client leadership, account leadership, business development, consulting, agency, marketing transformation, creative operations, design, technology, or managed services experience.
  • Proven track record growing complex enterprise accounts and building trusted senior client relationships.
  • Experience leading teams and developing client facing talent.
  • Strong understanding of creative operations, content supply chain, AI enabled production, digital workflows, marketing operations, technology enabled services, or operating model change.
  • Strong commercial acumen, including experience with revenue growth, margin management, pricing, forecasting, pipeline development, and opportunity qualification.
  • Excellent executive communication skills, with the ability to lead senior conversations and translate ambiguity into clear recommendations.
  • Experience in consulting, professional services, enterprise agency environments, or large strategic account roles is preferred.


Compensation Range: $150 -160K DOE

The range provided is our reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location.
