Job Description

The Director of Commercial Finance is a senior finance leader and strategic business partner supporting the Protective North America business while taking on an expanded leadership and oversight role for Latin America as part of the broader Americas Commercial Finance organization. This role provides strong commercial finance leadership for North America while supporting the development and maturity of financial capabilities across Latin America.



The Director partners closely with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, and Global Finance to translate financial insights into actionable decisions that improve profitability and performance. As part of the Americas Commercial Finance team, this position promotes consistency in financial analysis, Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs), and best practices across North America and Latin America.



This role is located at our Charlotte, NC headquarters and will be in office Monday through Thursday with the option to be remote on Friday.



Key Responsibilities:


Americas Commercial Finance Leadership


* Serve as the commercial finance partner for the North America Protective business and serve as a leadership role for Latin America.
* Provide financial leadership to support revenue growth, margin expansion, and profitability improvement.
* Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Operations leaders to influence commercial decision-making through insight-driven analysis.
* Own financial narratives and recommendations provided to North America leadership.



P&L Ownership and Financial Analysis


* Lead detailed analysis of the Americas P&L, including pricing, volume/mix, costs, margins, and profitability drivers.
* Deliver customer, product, and segment-level profitability insights.
* Identify risks and opportunities and recommend mitigation or growth actions.



Americas & Latin America Oversight and Development


* Provide functional oversight and leadership support for the Latin America leadership team.
* Support consistency in financial analysis, reporting, and performance management across Latin America.
* Support expansion of leadership responsibility for Latin America.



Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs) and Performance Management


* Drive the Monthly Business Review (MBR) process for Latin America.
* Contribute to standardization and quality of MBR content across the Americas.
* Ensure alignment between financial results, operational performance, and commercial execution.



Financial Planning, Forecasting, and Strategic Support


* Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-range planning for Latin America.
* Provide scenario and sensitivity analysis to support leadership decisions across the Americas.
* Align plans across North America and Latin America as part of the Americas finance framework.



Mentoring and Team Development


* Mentor, coach, and develop a team of two Financial Analysts, providing clear direction, priorities, and performance feedback.
* Build analytical capability and commercial finance skill sets through regular coaching, review, and on-the-job development.
* Foster strong business partnering skills by encouraging proactive engagement with commercial and operational stakeholders.
* Support career development planning, capability building, and succession readiness for analytical talent.

Key Skills & Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred).
* 8-10+ years of progressive finance experience with leadership responsibility.
* Strong commercial finance, P&L analysis, and business partnering experience.
* Experience leading budgeting, forecasting, and MBR processes.
* Advanced Excel skills and experience with SAP, OneStream, and Power BI.

Pay Transparency:

Base Salary Range: $116,300 - $200,675



The range disclosed complies with applicable state and local pay transparency laws. Offers within this range will be determined by considering relevant factors including education, experience, and internal alignment. This position may also be eligible for annual performance bonuses and other incentive programs. Sealed Air offers a competitive benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and other benefits designed to promote well-being.
