Job Description




As a Security Officer Access Control Specialist in Corpus Christi, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to all visitors, contractors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Monitor and control access at entry and exit points by verifying credentials, processing visitors, checking deliveries, and documenting arrivals and departures in accordance with site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns and communicating with site contacts and/or public emergency personnel when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, restricted areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity, policy violations, and/or potential hazards within the location.
  • Support vehicle and personnel screening activities at the location, help maintain accurate access records, and report maintenance, operational, and/or security-related concerns to the appropriate site representative.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2+ years of security-related experience is required.
  • A TSA issued TWIC is required.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
