Job Description




As a Security Officer Access Verification in Texas City, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and strong communication. What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, screen visitors and deliveries, and document access activity to help support authorized site access.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or first responders when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, gates, restricted areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
  • Support shift operations by preparing reports, maintaining accurate logs, and following post orders related to access control, badge checks, and restricted area entry.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Transportation Security Administration-issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential is required.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
