About the Job

The Rec Well Department is currently looking for qualified individuals to fill the Building and Grounds position for Minneapolis facilities. The maintenance and upkeep of all of our facilities is essential to the overall participant experience.

The custodian will assist in a variety of areas, including, but not limited to Maintain the locker room facilities, including vacuuming floors and general cleaning.

  • Sweeping floors, cleaning mirrors and some windows
  • Mowing of sports fields, cleaning projects
  • Cleaning court walls and glass
  • This position will support and lead student custodial workers in RecWell's Minneapolis facilities.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications

Required

  • Being able to work independently, but understand their role within the Operations Staff Team.
  • Taking initiative and being responsible
  • Being comfortable with physical, hands on work responsibilities
  • Be able to lift 50 pounds above waist line

Preferred

  • All employees are required to be trained in CPR, First Aid, AED, and Blood Borne Pathogens.
  • For employees that do not already possess these certifications, training will be provided by the department upon being hired.
  • Other requirements related to the position include: Previous work experience in Building and Grounds/custodial work.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $23.17 per hour; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
