Job Description




As a Security Officer Credential Monitor in Kansas City, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location where you will help manage access control, monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support a secure environment through visible presence and attentive service. In this role, you will deliver strong communication and customer service while contributing to security-related operations with teamwork, integrity, and a caring, reliable approach.

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to all visitors, employees, and contractors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and help to deter unauthorized entry at a dynamic technology and media location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, paying close attention to access control points, restricted areas, and other sensitive locations.
  • Assist with badge checks, visitor logs, package screening procedures, and other access-related tasks that support daily operations and security-related policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
