DESCRIPTION OF WORK
-
This position supports the design and delivery of maintenance resurfacing and transportation improvement projects while guiding the work of design teams and consultant partners. It also ensures that engineering standards, schedules, and budgets are met throughout project development. As a Group Projects Manager, you will perform the following duties:
- Project Design Review: Analyze engineering designs, plans, and calculations for accuracy and conformance with project requirements
- Team Leadership: Guide designers and technicians while providing technical direction and evaluating work quality
- Resource Coordination: Oversee in-house and consultant resources to keep project schedules and budgets on track
- Stakeholder Communication: Work with municipalities, utilities, and public partners to support effective project coordination
- Quality Assurance: Review and certify Plans, Specifications, and Estimate packages and ensure compliance with laws, policies, safety criteria, and technical standards
- Project Management: Manage multiple complex highway projects from early planning through project letting to ensure quality and on time delivery

- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Bridgeville. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six years of civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty; and an Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists; or
- Five years of civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty; and an Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists; and an associate's degree in civil engineering technology or a closely related engineering discipline; or
- Two years of professional civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty, and a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
Special Requirements:
- This position requires possession of a valid driver's license.
Other Requirements:
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
